500,000 50 centavos notes were printed by Maverick-Clarke Litho Co. of San Antonio, Texas, in early May 1914. The notes bearing the ECdM seal and control letters are believed to have been from this printing run. With 10 sets of control letters known, many collectors believe that Carranza received the entire run of 50 centavos notes and overprinted them. This has yet to be confirmed. |
